I also found out that I won't be able to have the really nifty foot that would allow me to adjust the heel height so that different shoes would be an option. The only way I could have the foot is to give up either the torque absorber which functions like an ankle or give up the knee crosser which basically allows the leg to break at the knee so that I can get the entire lower half of the foot out of the way. This is great for getting in and out of the car and for sitting in tight spaces like movie theaters.
There just simply isn't enough length to accomodate it all. I don't think shoes are worth giving up things that really do make a difference either in my walking or comfort!
School news: The book bucks are working!! Gracen has kept up with all of her school reading assignments and read several books for pleasure. The reading for pleasure was spurred on by the discovery of Puppy Place books at the library.
We have been on the Oregon Trail in history and begin the California Gold Rush today. I have a whole new respect for people who braved that journey!
Along school lines, have you heard of or seen History Pockets? These have been great for an simple, crafty type thing (that Gracen loves and we don't always have time for). But more than that, they reinforce the history lessons. These have been a really good add on for us.
