For Bible, Gracen is working through Extreme Adventures with God. It is a study designed for children ages 7-12 looking at the life of Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. We are also going to try to memorize a verse of scripture a week.
She will also be taking German at the classical school at our church--and really looking forward to continuing with that!
In leg news, I got the goopy casting process done last week. I'll go back this week for a test socket fitting. That will give the prosthetist a chance to see how the socket will fit and make any changes necessary.
A very small but exciting thing may be happening with the leg--I may be able to have a different type of foot. Why is that exciting? Well, it would mean that I would be able to wear different types of shoes!!
The foot I have currently has one heel height setting. (It actually can be adjusted but has to be done by the prosthetist.) Heel height affects the knee's ability to function properly. So, I am limited to being able to wear tennis shoes or shoes with a heel height equivalent to that. Needless to say finding dress shoes with that type of heel is almost impossible! The adjustment site on the new foot is positioned so that it can be easily changed without having to disassemble the foot. I am really hoping that it will work for me! I'll have to save money for a new shoe wardrobe if it does!
Have a good Monday everyone!!
