A Reminder

I never cease to be amazed by what blooms in our backyard. This is the yard that has stymied us as to what to do.

I dream of a yard with beds of fragrant flowers, humming bees, and flitting hummingbirds.

That's not necessarily what we have.

Sometimes we have pretty blooming weeds.



This white azalea blooms and looks pretty.

I have no idea where it came from or why it is in its particular spot!



There are white iris and this one lone purple iris.




Though they aren't exactly in nice beds--and I'm still waiting on the humming bees and flitting hummingbirds--they are a lovely reminder on days when I seem to need it most.

"Declare His glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the people are worthless idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary."
