Because...

Because it is Sunday and I usually don't post on Sunday.

Because I'm at home while my peeps are at church--leg issues again.

Because I'm listening to a free download of a Sister Hazel album trying to decide if I like it or not. (For the record, I have no idea who Sister Hazel is--have liked 2 songs and deleted 2 so far!)

Because these questions from Meredith's blog looked fun!

1. What is your favorite quote and why?

I have many...an entire journal devoted to quotes in fact. One of my favorites is:
"If we discover a desire within us that nothing in this world can satisfy, also we should begin to wonder if perhaps we were created for another world."
--C.S. Lewis

2. If you had to choose one favorite sweet treat, what would it be?

Soft, warm, extra gooey chocolate chip cookies. My mom does it best.

3. If you had one million dollars handed to you, what is the first thing you would buy?

Hmmm... this is tough! Don't know that I can limit it just one.
A horse for Gracen and whichever guitar Jeff wanted.

4. What is a favorite memory of a childhood game you enjoyed?

This isn't really a game but some of my favorite memories are playing Barbies with my sister.

I also really liked my Simon game.

5. If you could do one thing in life over, what would it be?

There are many moments I wish I had simply enjoyed more rather than fretting about this or that.

6. What movie could you watch over and over again?

Without doubt or hesitation...Lord of the Rings--all 3.

7. Jeans or sweats?

When I'm home it's all about comfort..sweats or yoga pants.

8. Have you ever shot a gun, and have you ever been hunting?

I grew up in a hunting home so I have shot a gun but never actually been hunting. Shooting I don't mind but I don't think I'd be very good at the hunting part.

Let me know your answers to one--or all!

I love that quote, Dana.

And YAY for Lord of the Rings. We watched them as a family this summer (honestly, it was a little too much for my youngest though) and I think they're brilliant!

Hope you're feeling better.

Hey, John and I talked about you yesterday on our way home from church. We sang "This is My Father's World" and I was telling him how much I loved the line, "He speaks to me everywhere". I believe that. God spoke to me last week through a movie, and he spoke to you last week (and me via you) through the eagle photo. I'm still amazed by all the things you saw in that photo that were spot on!
