This and That

First off, thank you for commenting (both here and on Facebook) on the last post! It really did help to know that I'm not alone in what sometimes feels like a vortex ready to suck me in!

I did discover that re-reading some time management tips helped.
I'm even working on a daily schedule of sorts--gasp!--I'll post it when it is finished in the hopes of some accountability (and maybe some joiners)!

I think I have always been a procrastinator--trouble is the more I procrastinate the more overwhelmed I feel.
One would think I would learn and change. But...

On a totally different note, I didn't think when I wrote this that some of it would be so hard.

My girl is learning that some people in the world get things handed to them with very little effort on their part. She's also learning that sometimes people who want to always be the center of attention sometimes are.

These are hard lessons.

She's also learning that some of the things she dislikes in other people are very often part of her own sinful self too.

Again, hard lessons.

Her mother is finding out that, yet again, that parenting is hard work necessitating much prayer for wisdom and guidance. Good friends, caffeine, and chocolate also help too!

On yet another different note...over the last 3 weeks, I have read The Pillars of the Earth and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

Pillars was good but very intense. I don't think that I have wanted a fictional character to die so badly--William was just evil! Midnight was good too and had some funny parts (especially for those of us in the South) but it did seem to go on longer than perhaps it needed to.

So, I am looking for something to read. I'd love to have some fiction that would be really captivating.

Any thoughts? Read anything good lately?

Have a good weekend and may your favorite football team win (unless they happen to play Arkansas!)
