Cold and cloudy. The snow that was predicted turned out to be mostly ice. No school yesterday or today--am glad to have my girl with me but am so ready to see some sunshine!!
I am Listening to
The sounds of The Dick Van Dyke show coming from the living room. My child is a lover of black and whites--Andy, Lucy, and Dick Van Dyke.
I am Wearing
Yoga pants and T-shirt. Standard issue comfy clothes for a day at home!
I am so Grateful for
Safety and protection. Jeff had a minor issue on the interstate Sunday that could have easily been a very major issue.
I'm Pondering
Much!
I am Reading
A Landscape With Dragons by Michael O'Brien.
I am Thinking
about what to thaw out for dinner! I have to start early or I wait too late!
I am Creating
New schedules and organizational things to hopefully bring some structure to my sometimes scattered day.
On my iPod/iPad
Spoken From the Heart by Laura Bush. Listening to it when on my "domestic Mondays".
Rearranged our front room, which was the school room, over the weekend. Still trying to tweak things but loving it so far.
The Spiritual Life
Excited about 2 Bible studies--one through Hebrews and one through Joshua. The Joshua study is an online study--never done anything like that and am looking forward to it.
Trying to organize recipes--am trying to find a good system. So far nothing has worked well.
Also trying to think about how to make Gracen's requested birthday cake!
One of My Favorite Things This Week:
Finding out that Gracen's headaches are probably caused by changes in eyesight and (hopefully) glasses will help. Not crazy about the cost of the glasses but am excited that this is an easy fix to a frustrating problem for her.
A Few Plans for the Rest of the Week
Weather day today then school tomorrow. All the "extra" activities also start back this week so it will be a busy ending to the week.
A Picture Thought:
Molly in her usual position! She lives to cuddle up someplace.
