The theme for this week's challenge was warming. I had thought that it would be really neat to get something melting but wasn't sure how to do it.
I had no idea that the weather would cooperate so nicely! On Wednesday night, the deep South saw what is, for some of us anyway, something very fun. We actually got some snow that wasn't mixed with ice, didn't mess up the roads, and stuck (pun intended) around long enough to play in.
There wasn't much though and it didn't pack together very well but it was very pretty.
When I saw that there were icicles on the house, I wondered if I could catch the drip of one actually melting. The picture above is my attempt. You can see a drip about to fall from the shortest icicle.

Great idea, Dana! :) I love the sun? reflecting on those icicles in the second shot!
the first picture just makes me COLD (though the concept was great!) but the second one has great lighting.
I am probably just feeling cold because I *AM* cold. My fingers threaten to crack off with every type of the keyboard. :-)
Great idea! I love how you captured the drip.
I tried to get the same effect this past week with our melting icicles, but they just wouldn't cooperate with my camera. Good shots!
I Loved the second one, it's just beautiful!!!
