Something Short and Sweet

Right now, I am in what is affectionately known as the "everything room", the "school room", and on occasion, the "war room". My child is in the living room.

She has had a grilled cheese sandwich with baked lays--probably her favorite lunch ever. She is now enjoying after lunch entertainment in the form of an I Love Lucy DVD. She watches an episode every. single. day.--two if she can sneak it in. We have the first 2 seasons (she's rallying for more for Christmas) and I think she knows almost every line in every episode by heart.

She is cackling right now at the antics of Lucy doing a TV commercial. You know the one where she gets drunk on the Vita-Meat-A-Veg-A-Min stuff.

She laughs while trying to say every line and, if I were a betting woman, she's holding up her cup with a pretend spoon mimicking every move.

She will laugh and laugh through the episode and then she will laugh some more going down the hall as she thinks about the episode.

She laughs and I smile...and am so thankful.
