The Post Birthday Post

My apologies for the continued changing of the blog design!! I keep trying to find something that I really like.

I think I like this one--now if I could just figure out how to fix the banner. Hopefully I can soon (of course if anyone has any advice, it would be appreciated!).

We finally finished celebrating Gracen's birthday week!

As I type, she is watching I Love Lucy Season 5 that she bought with birthday money. The specific episode is one of my favorites--Lucy's Italian Movie. You know, the one where she stomps the grapes!!

Gracen is watching it for the first time--and howling!

I love hearing her laugh.

So, she turned 11. It seems that overnight she has a new interest in clothing and hair styles. But finding something that she likes is tough--she doesn't like the typical pre-teen fashion (and I am so glad)!

I think parenting has just entered a new phase! Advice from moms with older girls??

On the other hand, she also got a new scooter. She had absolutely worn out the old one. It seems there is still a part of her that is little girl enough to enjoy scooting with a stuffed animal.

I am so glad!

On a totally unrelated to anything note...

Jeff is at book group. Gracen is in bed (decidedly not asleep). I am watching Big Bang Theory and, during commercials, refereeing hamster fights.

Yep, hamster fights.

It seems that Merry has the habit of pinning Pippen down. All that can be seen is Pippen's little hamster feet waving furiously from underneath Merry. It's downright pitiful--and comical.

I think this warrants a glass of wine!
