Family Reunion

A goldfinch reunion was held at our feeders this morning. This is just some of the 50+ attendees.

Like any other family, they have interesting family dynamics.
A little sibling rivalry perhaps? The opportunist side of the family is represented by the 2 on the upper left--just waiting to jump in when these two fall off from exhaustion.
This is the political discussion table. Clearly, they are trying to have a civil discussion but one is obviously on the attack and going in for the kill. Wonder which is Democrat and which is Republican?
Here we have the juvenile table. Two males jockeying for the preferred spot or arguing over whose feathers are the brightest. Or since these are two breeding males--well, we know what they are probably arguing about!
This is the kid table. They are taking it all in. Wondering which table they will fit into when they are grown.

And which kind of therapist they will need.
