In addition to celebrating our 17th anniversary (which was not celebrated with any fuss--a walk around Barnes and Noble and dinner out). It was great!
Sunday was a special day because we celebrated our first Sunday in Riverwood's new sanctuary!
A bagpiper welcomed us into the sanctuary though the umbrella had to be brought out!
He also played the processional.
Gracen's godfather also wore his kilt for the occasion.

The cross hangs up high above the platform.

This triptych hangs in the foyer. It was painted by Tuscaloosa artist Wellon Bridgers.
The top painting is creation. The second is Cristos (in Greek) or Christ. The third painting is New Heaven, New Earth.
Honestly, pictures don't do this justice. You need to see it to fully appreciate it.
Sunday was a special day in the life of Riverwood Presbyterian. It was a beautiful ending to literally months of work by many, many people.
